At the airport departure gate Ben was speaking to some little Japanese girls named Mi & Yui. Very cute to watch him saying "ohio", "mossi mossi", "ari gato" and "sayanara" and watching them giggle.
They were showing each other their passport photos and the girls shared their pez lollies with him.
Nice cross cultural experience to start the trip.

Ohhhh! Ben looks so happy (and cute) with his Japanese friends. Good on him trying his Japanese out on them. A scream about the 'toilet paper' guy! Welll you gotta have something to entertain you on a long flight! Glad all going well. Love - Theresa
Thanks Theresa. You can just see him holding his passport in the bottom of the photo..the photo in it is of him at 3 days old :)
Oh yeah - I see the photo. Wonder what the point is of having such an outdated pic?
