And I thought Algarve was a worm in tequila bottles

Flew budget airline Ryan Air to Portugal. Paid £7 each to get priority boarding (seats are not allocated unless you pay a fee) and everything went well. Bit over two and a half hours and we were touching down at Faro aero porto. Then a 40 min transfer to our resort, the Alfagar in Albafeira which is on the south coast of Portugal facing towards Africa. Part of the Algarve region.

We are in a modern 2 bedroom apartment in the main complex with a balcony overlooking....an all weather football field. Lol. So despite having two footballs back in England we had to add a football to our shopping list. We could have stayed in the more traditional villas which are older but closer to the ocean but we are very happy with where we are. €360 for 8 nights which is about $70/night AUD. Well done Carole. Again.
